Where I've worked

From electric vehicles to cutting-edge silicon — building and breaking things at every level of the hardware stack.

Synopsys · Mississauga, Ontario
Senior Verification & Validation Engineer Jul 2024 – Present

Execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans for performance testing of high-speed SERDES transceivers (128G, PCIe7) across PVT corners.

Recognized as a strong debug engineer: reproduce reported issues, run performance analysis, and lead root-cause investigation of defects — including digging into systems design and algorithms to find optimizations — driving each to resolution by engineering fixes, re-testing, and validating results.

Debug beyond test-chip metrics by diving into firmware, test-chip RTL, Python, and analog schematics to isolate true root causes across analog, digital and firmware boundaries (AFE, ADC/DAC, CDR/PLL, DSP).

Highly proficient with lab instrumentation for hands-on debug — sampling and real-time oscilloscopes, BERTs and VNAs — building and troubleshooting bench setups to reproduce issues, measure precisely, and root-cause hardware faults.

Write and improve FPGA code in SystemVerilog (Xilinx); recently reworked the current-monitor finite-state machines to fix unreliable readbacks and meet customer requirements for stable, accurate measurements.

Develop test-automation software and lab tooling in Python and MATLAB; built a complete automated PCB validation workflow that cut test time per board from 1 hour to 10 minutes, and refactored workflows that sped up part bring-up ~4.3× and firmware integration 60×.

Define and maintain test scopes and qualification plans: develop test plans against defined IEEE standards to characterize and analyze performance to spec, and devise and execute custom test plans for specific customer requests.

Known for thorough, efficient documentation: author knowledge-base articles and track work through JIRA, Confluence and OneNote.

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) · Valcourt, QC
Electrical Engineer Intern Jan 2022 – Aug 2022

Designed and built custom test circuits and harnesses for side-by-side vehicles (SSVs), making validation faster, modular and repeatable.

Authored and ran 200+ electrical validation tests — writing DVPs from scratch and owning full-product validation through to sign-off.

Debugged hands-on with power supplies, multimeters, scopes and wiring diagrams, including driving prototypes to root-cause intermittent faults.

Taiga Motors · Lasalle, QC
Electrical Engineer Intern Sep 2021 – Dec 2021

Designed PCBs with integrated debugger interfaces, improving hardware integration for the firmware test team.

Built a space- and harness-optimised test cart that simulated vehicle conditions, enabling rapid bench testing of electric jet-skis and snowmobiles.

Reworked and repaired PCBs (soldering, added protection circuitry) and ran quality checks under a microscope.
